Police find drugs in raid

POLICE found cannabis and amphetamine worth £450 during a raid on a house in Barnsley.

Officers searched the house on Birch Road, Kendray, and charged a man in his 60s with possession of the drugs.

Another man in his 40s received a caution for possessing amphetamine.

Sergeant John Crapper, of Kendray and Worsbrough Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “Drugs in our area will not be tolerated. Anyone who wants to pass on information, in confidence, regarding drugs can do so by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
