A MAN has been charged with a string of driving offences after a police chase.
The 25-year-old is accused of dangerous driving, driving without insurance, driving while disqualified and aggravated vehicle theft.
He was arrested after police officers saw a Land Rover in Main Road, Stretton, Alfreton, at around 12.25am on Thursday, December 22, and tried to pull the driver over. The car drove off through Teversal and Pleasley before stopping in a car park at Clowne.
The police helicopter was deployed to follow the vehicle from the air.
Officers discovered the Land Rover had been taken from a house in Spencer Road, Belper.
