Police are seeking a man and woman who may have information about a burglary in Rotherham.

The burglary is alleged to have happened on East Bawtry Road in Whiston in the early hours of Wednesday, January 14.

Officers have released CCTV images of a man and a woman, who were in the area, in the hope that they can be identified and assist with police enquiries.

A police spokesman said: “The man is described as white, aged between 30 and 40 years old, of average height and stocky build.

“He is described as having a long pointy nose and chiselled jaw line. He was wearing a woollen hat and a hooded anorak, with a drawstring cord around the middle.”

The spokesman added: “The woman is described as white, aged around 40 years old, of heavy build with shoulder length dark hair.

“She was wearing a three-quarter length beige coat and bottle green leggings, walking boots and a black floppy hat.

“She was walking with an overweight tan coloured Labrador using a distinctive pink coloured lead and nose strap.”

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident number 77 of January 14.
