A man and woman have appeared in court over an arson attack in Rotherham which left a 35-year-old woman with burns to her face.
Liam Fretwell, aged 23, and Carly Waddington, 19, are charged with arson with intent to endanger life following a blaze at a home on Manor Road, Dinnington.
Fretwell, of Park Avenue, North Anston, and Waddington, of Rother Crescent, Treeton, have also been charged with the production of cannabis.
The pair appeared before Rotherham magistrates yesterday.
They were arrested after firefighters were alerted to a blaze at 5.05am on Friday.
They found that a wheelie bin had been pushed up against a door of the property and was on fire. The woman rescued from the house was taken to hospital.
