One of two teenage boys left seriously ill after taking mystery green pills on a night out in Sheffield has been discharged from hospital.

The other teenager is still in hospital undergoing medical assessment.

Police said the boys, aged 16 and 17, took paracetamol-sized pills at an event at Clarence Works on Effingham Road, Attercliffe, on May 25.

They were taken to the Northern General Hospital after ‘displaying aggressive behaviour’.Police arrested two 17-year-old boys on suspicion of supplying the pills, and investigations are under way to try to establish what they contained.

Officers issued a health warning about the pills, urging people not to take them.

The suspected dealers have been bailed by police.
