POLICE WARNING OF COLD CALLERS
POLICE are warning householders to be wary of doorstep callers collecting money for sponsorship on behalf of registered charities.
A force spokeswoman said: “Those who are genuinely collecting money for charity will be happy to show identification to verify their details, have appropriate paperwork to collate personal information and usually wear clothing displaying the charity logo.”
