DETECTIVES hunting a sex fiend who assaulted a teenage girl as she walked home from school in Sheffield are following up a number of new leads.
Police said they have “some positive lines of enquiry to look into” following a new appeal for information last week.
The Star revealed officers investigating the attack on the 14-year-old had captured the culprit’s DNA profile. Dozens of men have already been checked in a mass screening exercise in the Fox Hill area.
The sex attacker struck at 3.20pm on November 4 when his victim was walking home from school on land between Fox Hill Road and Edge Well Crescent.
