Burglars raided a 94-year-old woman’s home while she was asleep in bed.
They sneaked into the OAP’s home by climbing through a window between 6.30pm and 9.20pm on Saturday.
They searched every room in the pensioner’s home on Wingfield Road, Wingfield, Rotherham, and stole £900 and a pearl necklace.
They then found the keys to her door and walked out with their haul.
A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “Burglars escaped with £900 and a pearl necklace when they raided a 94-year-old woman’s Rotherham home while she was asleep in bed. The culprits climbed in through the bathroom window, causing damage, and searched every room in the house. The pensioner has recently suffered ill health.”
