FOUR teenagers have been arrested in connection with the death of a 40-year-old man who died after being attacked in Worksop town centre on Saturday night.

Police said a man had been assaulted at around 7.30pm on Bridge Street, near its junction with Central Avenue and Ryton Street.

The victim, a man in his forties, was taken to Bassetlaw District Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Nottinghamshire Police have launched a murder inquiry.

Formal identification of the victim has yet to take place and a post-mortem examination is to be held to establish how the man died.

Four boys, three aged 15 and one aged 16, were arrested.

They remain in police custody and are to be questioned by detectives.
