Motorists fined for abusing ‘blue badge’ parking scheme

Motorists in Rotherham have been fined for the fraudulent use of ‘blue badge’ parking permits issued to disabled drivers.

Anjum Iqbal, aged 55, of Devonshire Street, Rotherham, was fined £90 after using his deceased mother’s badge to park in a ‘pay and display’ parking place on Howard Street in April.

Mohammed Faisal, 42, of Ferrars Road, Tinsley, Sheffield, was fined £140 after using his mother’s badge to park in a ‘pay and display’ parking place on Main Street in March.

Zulfiqar Ali, 48, of Nabeel Court, Rotherham, was fined £37 for using his son’s badge to park in a disabled parking place on Main Street in April.

Tracey Parker-Knight, 33, of Brookfield Close, Dalton, was fined £70 for using her son’s badge to park her car in a disabled parking place on Main Street in March.
