Men grabbed woman’s bag at Rotherham train station

Police are trying to trace two men who attempted to steal a rucksack from a woman at Rotherham train station.

The woman was walking past the ticket office at around 9.25am last Friday when she was approached by the men.

PC Emma Williamson, of British Transport Police, said: “Two men attempted to grab a rucksack from the woman, who held onto her bag. The men then ran off towards the town centre without the bag.

“The first man is described as white, of medium to slim build and was wearing blue jeans and a dark baseball cap.

“The second offender was also white, of medium to slim build and wearing a black jacket and jeans.”
