Masked men raided a Sheffield supermarket and threatened staff with a knife before fleeing with cash and other items.

The robbery occurred at the Co-op store on Derbyshire Lane, Norton Lees, on Saturday evening.

A police spokesman said: “At around 9.25pm on Saturday, it is reported that two men with their faces covered entered the Co-op shop.

“They reportedly threatened staff with a knife before fleeing the scene with a quantity of cash and other items.

“Nobody is reported to have been injured during the incident.

“The men are described as wearing black coats.”

Police are now appealing for witnesses.
