A man was taken to hospital with a head injury after he was attacked outside a Chesterfield pub.

Police said the man was drinking with friends on Chatsworth Road, Brampton, when he was attacked at 11pm on Saturday, January 10.

He was punched in the face and knocked onto the road outside the Red Lion pub.

An ambulance was called and the man was taken to hospital with a head injury.
