Police with sniffer dogs were today hunting for clues after a man was stabbed in the chest in Sheffield.
The 34-year-old victim was in hospital today with serious injuries after suffering a suspected stab wound to his chest and cuts to his face following the incident in Firth Park.
The assault happened just before 5.15pm yesterday.
Police officers were called to a house on Horninglow Road, off Tideswell Road, following reports of a disturbance.

A spokesman for South Yorkshire Police said: “It is believed an assault took place inside a house on Horninglow Road and the altercation continued on the street.
“Officers remain at the scene and inquiries are ongoing.”
The man’s condition is described as serious but not life threatening.
No arrests have been made and police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
