A MAN was stabbed in the stomach during an attack on a street in Sheffield city centre.
The 41-year-old was attacked on George Street, off High Street, at around 4pm on Sunday. Police said he suffered an abdominal wound measuring between one and two inches in length.
He was taken to the Northern General Hospital for treatment, where his condition yesterday was described as ‘stable and improving’.
Police are hunting the culprit.
A cordon put in place around the crime scene was lifted later in the day once a forensic sweep had taken place.
