A MAN was taken to hospital with serious facial injuries after he was attacked in Barnsley town centre.
The victim, in his mid 20s, was walking along Market Street when he was assaulted behind Marks & Spencer in the early hours of Monday, April 18.
It is thought that during the assault his Blackberry Curve mobile phone was taken.
He told police he believes he had the phone with him before the attack, but when he was admitted to Barnsley District General Hospital it was gone.
