A SOUTH Yorkshire man accused of murdering of his seven-week-old son has been remanded in custody after a court hearing.

Judge Michael Murphy QC, presiding at Sheffield Crown Court, ordered that Ian Hutchinson, aged 24, stay in custody until a further hearing next week.

The Barnsley man was charged with murder earlier this week, six months after his son died.

Seven-week-old Kieron Hutchinson died at Sheffield Children’s Hospital on September 7 2010, after an incident in Chapeltown.
