Aiden Boylin, aged 18, of Avenue Road, Wath, attacked his victim in Chequer Road, Doncaster, after offering to walk her home following a night out.
He admitted rape and was sentenced to four years and eight months behind bars at Sheffield Crown Court.
Detective Constable Stephen Cartlidge said: “The victim has shown tremendous strength and courage throughout this investigation and I hope that this sentence brings her some closure after what has been a very traumatic few months.
“South Yorkshire Police takes allegations of rape very seriously and will investigate any report of rape or sexual assault thoroughly.
