A MAN has been jailed for life and ordered to serve a minimum of 16 years behind bars for the murder of a vulnerable drinker who was beaten, slashed, kicked and stamped to death.

Garry Count, aged 32, of Bartholomew Street, Wombwell, murdered Shane Beadling, 41, at the property in July.

Count admitted murder and was today jailed for life by a judge at Sheffield Crown Court.

His co-accused and partner Kerry Musgrave, 31, of the same address, was jailed for 18 months for perverting the course of justice after she helped Count cover his tracks afterwards by washing his clothes.

Mr Beadling, from Rotherham, was described by his family as a kind and giving person who had personal problems but would do ‘anything for anyone’.
