A MAN who claimed he stabbed an ex-lover in a sex game that went wrong has been found guilty of her murder.
Alexander Burnett, aged 32, of Westlea View, Clowne, stabbed 52-year-old Lee Hendry through the neck just after hours after they met up again following a relationship they had together 12 years earlier.
Lee, a mum-of-three, posted a picture of herself on Facebook and Burnett got in touch and the pair agreed to meet.
They had sex within hours of meeting up and the following day Lee’s body was found on Burnett’s bedroom floor when he told police she had died.
Burnett had claimed he stabbed Lee, of Brimington, Chesterfield, when a sex game went wrong but a jury found him guilty of murder yesterday.
Judge Charles Haddon-Cave, due to sentence Burnett today, said: “This case is a tragic one where a lady has been killed and a family has lost a loved one.”
