A JILTED man posted adult pictures of his ex-partner on the internet and around a golf club where they used to work, a court heard.

Gary Barber told police he felt ‘bitter and twisted’ when his two-and-a-half year relationship ended last autumn - and did not regret his actions.

Magistrates in Chesterfield heard the 46-year-old sent his ex an email link to a website containing around 20 pictures of her posing naked and in ‘intimate positions’.

More pictures were also posted around a golf course in Bury, Greater Manchester, where they had worked together.

Jenny Fitzgerald, prosecuting, said: “He admitted loading pictures onto 20 websites, wanting to embarrass her. He said he felt bitter and twisted and he didn’t regret his actions.

“She said it left her feeling shocked and sick. She hadn’t given consent for the pictures to be made public and it had not only embarrassed her but also her family.”

Barber, of Renishaw Park Golf Club, Mill Lane, Renishaw, admitted harassment and was told he could be jailed when he is sentenced next month.

District Judge Andrew Davison said: “This is particularly nasty, placing sensitive photographs of your former partner on the internet and embarrassing her.”

“Photographs were taken when you were in an intimate relationship. It’s a very serious breach of trust.”
