DETECTIVES investigating a spate of robberies at businesses across Chesterfield have made an arrest.
Officers questioned a 44-year-old man on suspicion of involvement in a series of robberies committed in the town in November last year.
The robberies were reported to have been committed at Tesco Express in Newbold and Spar on Matlock Road, at Peveril Filling Station on Sheffield Road, at Spar on Ashgate Road, and at the Co-op on Wardgate Way, between November 4 and 22.
Detectives who quizzed the suspect on Wednesday later released him on bail pending further inquiries.
