A TEENAGER has appeared at court charged with a series of robberies involving students in Sheffield.
The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is accused of committing three robberies between Monday, September 24 and Tuesday, September 25.
South Yorkshire Police said that on all three occasions an offender approached students and brandished a knife.
The force said the culprit responsible for the robberies demanded valuables from the students and took items including mobile phones.
The Sheffield teenager charged with the offences appeared at Sheffield Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
He was remanded in custody and will appear at court again on Wednesday, October 3.
Pleas to the three offences have not yet been entered by the defendant.
