THREE men who broke into a Bolsover home and stole three cars from the driveway have been jailed.

Scott Clarke, aged 31, 35-year-old David Carline and Sandy Hughes, 33, broke into the property on Crow Hill, Palterton, last August and stole car keys before taking three cars parked outside.

They were arrested after their fingerprints were found in the stolen vehicles when they were recovered.

The trio pleaded guilty at Derby Crown Court and Clarke, of New Street, North Wingfield and Carline, of no fixed abode, were both jailed for three years for burglary.

Hughes, of no fixed abode, was sentenced to four-and-a-half years for burglary, handling stolen goods, theft of a motor vehicle and possession of amphetamine with intent.
