Investigations are underway into a series of arson attacks across South Yorkshire this week.

Firefighters were called out to a Vauxhall van torched in Burrs Lane, Gilding Wells, Rotherham; a litter bin set alight in Duchess Road, off Queens Road, close to Sheffield city centre and a moped torched in York Road, Dunscroft, Doncaster.

A pile of rubbish was also set alight under a bridge in Brampton Road, Wombwell, Barnsley.

Last week a Renault Laguna was set on fire in Greengate Lane, High Green, Sheffield and the flames spread to a Fiat Panda parked nearby.

A Peugeot 206 was torched in Barnsley Road, Darfield, Barnsley.
