A MAN was left with a broken nose after he was pushed to the ground and kicked in the head by a gang of youths as he walked along a South Yorkshire street.
The 37-year-old was on Lindhurst Road, Athersley, when six yobs started shouting.
He told police he ignored the gang and carried on walking but one of the teenagers ran up to him and pushed him to the ground, where he was punched and kicked in the head by the rest of the group.
A police probe into the incident is under way and officers want to trace those involved.
One of the teenagers was 14 or 15 years old, white, of medium build and 5ft 9ins tall. He had a long face and long nose.
Another was 16 or 17 years old, white, muscular and around 5ft 10ins tall. He had short, brown hair and was wearing jeans, a dark coloured jumper with either spots or squares on it and he also spoke with a local accent.
