House blaze man needed treatment

A MAN was treated for smoke inhalation after a fire broke out in his bungalow on Hillside Grove, Brierley, Barnsley.

Firefighters called out to the incident at 4.40pm on Thursday said it was accidental.

Crews were also called to a kitchen fire on Southsea Road, Woodhouse, Sheffield.

Doors forced open

TWO homes on Northcote Road, Heeley, Sheffield, were broken into by burglars forcing doors open to get inside. And on Wednesday last week homes on Morland Drive, Gleadless Valley and Linburn Road, Woodseats, were broken into when doors were forced open.

Motorbike set alight

A MOTORBIKE was dumped and set alight in a field behind Dearne High School, Bolton upon Dearne, Barnsley. Firefighters were called out to deal with the blaze, off Woodside View, at 7.45pm on Thursday.

Car arson attack

A BMW found burning in Oxford Street, Rotherham, had been set alight in an arson attack at 11.30pm last Thursday.
