Friends and relatives of Sheffield murder victim Simon Holdsworth are to gather for his funeral tomorrow.
A service is to be held at St Joseph’s RC Church, Handsworth, at 11.30am before a cremation service at Hutcliffe Wood Crematorium planned for 12.30pm.
Mr Holdsworth, aged 36, of Westfield Avenue, Hackenthorpe, was attacked after getting off a bus after a shift at FBS Prestige, Intake, where he worked as a paint sprayer.
He was walking the last part of his journey home, to the house he shared with his partner Carleen McKeown and her four-year-old son Tiarnan, when he was attacked.
His body was discovered behind a hedge in a field off Birley Spa Lane on December 17.
A 45-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder has been bailed pending further inquiries.
