Funeral for tragic David

The family of 39-year-old David Wilkes have released the attached photo and have asked that they are left to greive in private at this difficult time.''Below is the statement SYP issued on 27 March 2011:''Police are currently questioning a man on suspicion of murder following an incident in Brinsworth yesterday morning (Sat March 26 2011). 'Police and ambulance were called to a property in Fortway Rd, Brinsworh, Rotherham just after 9 am yesterday where David Wilkes, 39, a resident, was found with serious injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.'Police arrested a 20 year old man and continue to question him.

THE funeral is to be held today for a Rotherham man found dead outside his home.

David Wilkes, aged 39, of Fortway Road, Brinsworth, was found on the landing outside his first-floor flat at around 9am on Saturday, March 26.

A post mortem examination revealed he suffered head injuries. A neighbour, Justin Fishlock, 20, of Fortway Road, Brinsworth, has been charged with his murder.

The funeral is to be held at St Thomas’ Church, Church Street, Kimberworth, at 3pm.
