Football fans are being hunted by police for disorderly behaviour which left train passengers fearing for their safety.
They boarded a train at Chesterfield on Saturday, November 22 and travelled to Sheffield, but en-route they banged the roof, kicked chairs, chanted and threatened fellow passengers.
DC Lee Parsons, of British Transport Police, said: “The incident left passengers extremely distressed, frightened for their safety and intimidated. Everyone is entitled to travel without fear of being exposed to abuse of any kind or anti-social behaviour.
“We will not tolerate behaviour like this. It is vital we find those responsible.
“Thankfully this type of unacceptable behaviour is uncommon and not representative of all football fans.”
