OWNERS of a store where a customer was put into a headlock during a terrifying armed raid are appealing for help to catch the robber.
He struck at the Co-op in Westfield, Sheffield, when a woman was standing at the counter waiting to be served.
The robber grabbed her from behind, put her in a headlock with one arm and pointed a knife at her with the other.
Police said he ordered staff to hand over cash before fleeing.
Nobody was hurt during the raid, but police said the customer and shop assistants were traumatised.
A Co-op spokeswoman said: “At around 6.45pm on Sunday January 22, our Westfield food store in Sheffield was raided by an armed man.
“He threatened a customer and stole a small quantity of cash.
“We would appeal for anyone with any information to come forward.”
