FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a cooker fire which broke out in a house on Denman Road, Wath upon Dearne, Rotherham.

Nobody in the property was injured.

Car set alight

AN arson attack was responsible for a car going up in flames on the driveway of a house it was parked outside.

Flames from the blaze spread to the electricity box outside the property. Firefighters dealt with the incident.

Garage arson attack

A GARAGE went up in flames on Toppham Road, Lowedges, Sheffield, after it was deliberately set alight.

Firefighters tackled the blaze.

Vehicles damaged

FOUR vehicles were damaged on Burton Road, Monk Bretton, Barnsley, when paint stripper was poured on them.

THE South Yorkshire Police helicopter spotted two men hiding in trees after abandoning a stolen vehicle in Kimberworth, Rotherham.

They were arrested and quizzed by police.

POLICE chiefs sent out their helicopter to search the Brinsworth area of Rotherham after a man from the area went missing while feeling suicidal.

The search was called off when the man returned home safe.
