Firefighters tackle car blazes started deliberately

Firefighters tackled two car fires started deliberately on the same night.

The first blaze, which involved a Fiat Bravo, was on Birley Vale Avenue, Frecheville, Sheffield, at 9pm on Wednesday.

At midnight a Chrysler Voyager was set alight on Buchanan Road, Parson Cross, Sheffield.

Firefighters were called out to deal with a pile of garden waste set alight on St Mary’s View, Greasborough, Rotherham, on the same night.

On Thursday firefighters extinguished a fire on Grange Mill Lane, Blackburn, Rotherham, involving a fridge which was deliberately set on fire outside.
