Two men have been jailed for a total of eight-and-a-half years after an armed robbery at a Sheffield city centre off-licence.
Mustafa Suleiman and Aafi Mohamed, who was armed with an air rifle, burst into Bargain Beers on West Street at around 5.40am on Friday, November 8, last year.
The pair, masked by balaclavas, threatened the terrified shopkeeper and demanded money from the tills, escaping with several hundred pounds along Convent Walk and then Cavendish Street.
The worker was left shaken but unhurt.
Both men pleaded guilty to robbery and possession of an imitation firearm – the weapon was not in working order - at Sheffield Crown Court.
Suleiman, aged 20, of Netherthorpe, Sheffield, was sentenced to four years in prison, while Mohamed, 19, from Moss Side, Manchester, was jailed for four-and-a-half years.
