A COUNCIL house tenant in Sheffield convicted or producing and possessing cannabis faces losing his home if he breaches the terms of his tenancy agreement again.
Ian Clarke, aged 43, of Verdon Street, Burngreave, was caught with four plants growing in his home when police raided the property in March last year.
He was convicted of producing and possessing drugs at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court last May and was sentenced to a 12-month prison term suspended for two years.
He was also sentenced to an 180-hour unpaid work order.
Sheffield Homes, which manages Sheffield’s council housing, made a claim for possession of Clarke’s property at Sheffield County Court.
But the tenant was given one last chance to remain living there - providing he, any other members of his household or guests, refrain from causing nuisance or committing further crimes in the property or Burngreave.
