A BUS driver was stabbed by a woman he met on Facebook.

Daniel Redfern and Rebecca Plater started a relationship after meeting online in September. In mid-December, she told him she was pregnant.

Chesterfield magistrates heard he was happy, but she became aggressive and possessive and the relationship began to disintegrate.

Eventually, 23-year-old Plater turned up at Mr Redfern’s home in Circular Drive, Renishaw, picked up a kitchen knife and stabbed him, leaving him with a ‘minor wound’.

Magistrates imposed a one-year supervision order, banned her from contacting Mr Redfern for three years and ordered her to pay him £100 compensation.
