A DRINK driver found over the limit for a second time was caught after a tip-off to police.
Officers received an anonymous phone call about motorist Stephen Crowther and they followed his Vauxhall Vectra along High Street, Eckington.
When he parked, officers approached him and said they could smell alcohol.
He was breathalysed and found to be almost twice over the limit.
Jobless Crowther, aged 49, of Royale Close, Eckington, admitted drink-driving and was fined £115, ordered to pay £85 costs and banned from driving for three years.
He was convicted of the same offence in 2007.
Crowther told Chesterfield magistrates he was just over the limit the first time he was caught and the latest offence was a ‘lapse of concentration’.
