Doncaster Council is appealing for help in catching criminals who stole metal and timber from Quarry Park in the Dunscroft and Dunsville area, where improvement works are currently taking place.
The authority is currently improving a number of access points, including installation of steps, stiles, landscaping works and new signs.
Since the contractor has been on site there have been a few instances of equipment being damaged including Heras fencing and timber edging boards. The most recent occurred sometime over the weekend of March 14-15, when hundreds of pounds worth of materials were either stolen and damaged. Assistant Director of Communities Karen Johnson said: “I would encourage anyone with any information to come forward and help catch the thieves. You can call Doncaster Council on 01302 736000, South Yorkshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 in confidence.
