A SHEFFIELD man arrested on suspicion of murder following the discovery of a man’s body has been released without charge.

The 36-year-old was arrested and held in custody by police on Monday after a man’s body was found at the bottom of a flight of stairs in a block of flats in Lupton Road, Lowedges.

Police detained him while detectives investigated the circumstances surrounding the death by talking to local residents and examining the flat where the body was found.

A post mortem examination on the body was also carried out, which failed to find signs of anything suspicious.

Police are now carrying out enquiries on behalf of the coroner ahead of an inquest.
