Another cricket club storage unit has been set alight in an arson attack.

Firefighters were called to the blaze at Higham Cricket Club, Royd Lane, Higham, near Barnsley, at 7.15pm on Sunday.

The fire was reported at 7.15pm on Sunday.

Overnight on Monday, March 23 a storage unit at Eckington Cricket Club, Staveley Lane, Eckington, was broken into and set alight.

Burglars stole gras cutting machinery and tools just three weeks before the start of the new cricket season.
