Police officers searching for a man reported missing from home say they are ‘growing increasingly concerned’ for his welfare.
Carl Mason was seen by a relative at his home in Endowood Road, Chesterfield, on the evening of Monday, December 1, but has not been seen since.
The 48-year-old is believed to have left home in a silver Ford Fiesta, the registration plate of which starts with YP56.
Officers involved in the search believe Mr Mason may have been in the Dunham-on-Trent area of Nottinghamshire at some point after going missing.
They want to hear from anyone with information on his whereabouts, or anyone who believes they may have seen him or his car.
Mr Mason is white, about 5ft 6ins, slim and has receding, grey hair. He does not have any upper teeth.
He was last seen wearing blue jeans, black shoes and a thick blue or black coat.
Police are appealing for information on his whereabouts and want to hear from anyone who saw his car or a man matching his description.
A Derbyshire Police spokeswoman said: “Police are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a man who went missing from his home in Chesterfield.”
Anyone with information on Mr Mason should call Derbyshire police on 101, quoting incident number 705 of December 2.
