Cautions for motorists

A TOTAL of 41 motorists were cautioned for not wearing their seatbelts as part of a police crackdown on unsafe driving in Bolsover.

Officers from Derbyshire Police were joined by the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency for a day of checks on vehicles using the A623 in Bolsover.

Police fined and gave warnings to 41 motorists who were caught without a seatbelt, nine who were speeding and seven who were using their mobile phone while driving.

A number of motorists were warned about tyre and light defects and eight were made to remove illegal window tints during the operation.
