A SHEFFIELD care home will be opening its doors to the public when it holds a summer fair next week.
Anchor’s Eagle House in Stalker Lees Road, Sharrow Vale, is holding the fair for residents and their families and friends on Monday, August 29.
The fair, which takes place between 1.30pm and 7pm, will feature events and activities for all the family.
There will be a bouncy castle for children and another for adults, cakes for sale, a barbecue, live music, and cheese and wine tasting.
Home manager Jason Axford said: “I hope the local community will support the fair.
“There will be the usual tombola, raffle and stalls - and also a chance to pillory the man in the stocks!”
All proceeds raised on the day will be donated to the mental health charity MIND.
