Seven suspects have appeared before magistrates in Rotherhamafter a number of burglaries and car crime offences in the town.
Michael Moore, aged 45, of Wombwell Avenue, Wath-upon-Dearne, has been charged with the theft of cigarettes from a Vauxhall Astra van parked in Quarry Hill Road and cash and bank cards from an Audi A3 in Wombwell Avenue, during the night of Monday, November 25.
He was remanded in custody for a further appearance in court on Friday.
Ryan Penn, aged 21, of Delta Place, East Dene, and 25-year-old Jake Windle, of Eilam Road, Kimberworth Park, appeared before the same court charged with vehicle interference. Penn was granted conditional bail but must wear an electronic tag.
Windle admitted the offence and received a community order.
Alan Webster, aged 29, of Doncaster Road, Rotherham, has been charged with burgling a house in Selbourne Street, Eastwood, early on Tuesday morning, when a games console was taken.
He was remanded in custody and will appear at Sheffield Crown Court on December 12.
Harry Adams, 18, of Netherfield Lane, Parkgate, Robert Paul, 20, from Redmarsh Avenue, Rawmarsh, and a 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at court together charged over a burglary at East Avenue, Rawmarsh, on November 25.
Adams and the 17-year-old were remanded in custody to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on December 12.
Paul was granted conditional bail but must also wear a tag until he is sentenced.
