A MAN was jailed for burglary after police traced a stolen mobile phone to his home, a court heard.
Steven Priest, aged 33, of Welbeck Street, Whitwell, Derbyshire, broke into a house on Southfield Lane in the village in October last year and stole a laptop, mobile phone and wallet.
But the phone had a tracking device on it and when officers raided his home they found it along with other stolen items.
They also found and a small amount of cannabis.
Priest was arrested and charged with burglary and possession of cannabis.
In interview he also told police of a number of other homes he had targeted in Whitwell and Clowne areas between June and October 2011.
Priest pleaded guilty at Derby Crown Court and was jailed for three years.
