A MAN has been jailed for eight years over a sex attack on a teenage schoolgirl as she walked home from lessons.

Jordan Padley, aged 22, of Keats Road, Fox Hill, was sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court after admitting two assaults by penetration and one offence of causing another to engage in sexual activity.

He attacked a 14-year-old girl on land known locally as The Quarry, between Fox Hill Road and Edge Well Crescent, Fox Hill, in November 2010 and was caught after he was arrested for another offence and had to give a DNA sample which matched a sample left at the crime scene.

Judge Simon Lawler QC, who jailed Padley, said the offence he had committed was ‘every woman’s and girl’s nightmare scenario’.
