A MURDER investigation has been launched in Barnsley after a man was burned at a house party in the town, police have revealed.

The 18-year-old, who has not been named, is said to have suffered ‘significant burn’s during a party on Pleasant View, Cudworth, at around 2.20am on Saturday.

Six people were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Saturday - three men, aged between 19-years-old and 39-years-old and three teenagers aged between 16-years-old and 17-years-old, all from Barnsley.

A 16-year-old girl was released due to insufficient evidence and the remaining five were bailed pending further enquiries.
