armed burglars are being hunted by police after breaking into a house and demanding money.
They struck at the property on Broom Lane, Rotherham, when a 24-year-old woman and 17-year-old youth were home.
Police said they were armed with a knife and threatened the pair with violence but did not strike out and ended up leaving empty handed after searching the property.
They were last seen running off towards Worry Goose roundabout.
The burglars were aged in their mid 20s, around 6ft tall and of large, stocky builds. One was Asian and the other white.
Both are believed to have had Leeds or Bradford accents and had their faces partially covered and were wearing dark hooded tops and dark trousers.
Witnesses or anyone with information about the incident at 10pm on Thursday, March 1, should call a 101.
