HEARTLESS thieves broke into the South Yorkshire home of the father of murdered schoolgirl Casey Kearney - and stole a laptop containing treasured photographs and videos of her.
Police said the raid took place yesterday, between 7.45am and 12.35pm, when entry was gained to Anthony Kearney’s home in Edenthorpe.
Among the items stolen was the black Sony Vaio laptop.
Mr Kearney said: “Losing Casey has been so painful words cannot begin to explain.
“Photos and videos hold all the precious memories of my beautiful daughter and I desperately want these back.
“Photographs hold an incredible sentimental value to anyone, these pictures even more so as I will never be able to take any more of Casey”.
Detective Constable Scott Barley investigating the burglary said: “I would urge anyone who has any information to please come forward to assist with the investigation and the return of the laptop to Mr Kearney.”
Thirteen-year-old Casey was stabbed in Elmfield Park, Doncaster, on Valentine’s Day. A 26-year-old woman has been charged with her murder.
Anyone with information should contact the police on 101.
