A body found on a railway embankment is believed to be that of missing Chesterfield man Glynn Holland.
Mr Holland, aged 51, of Staveley, was reported missing from home in September and his relatives were informed of the discovery of the body yesterday.
A Derbyshire Police spokeswoman said: ”A body believed to be that of missing Staveley man Glynn Holland has been found.
“The body of a man was found by a railway worker on an embankment near train tracks in Barrow Hill on Monday, December 9.
“The body has not been formally identified but police believe it to be that of 51-year-old Mr Holland, who was reported missing from his Staveley home in September.
“His family has been informed and specially trained officers are working with them.
“Police do not believe there to be any suspicious circumstances.”
